So I'm a little late with this post. Not exactly used to the whole ''write about yourself for other people to see'' thing. Which is probably why I only have two followers. Buuuut since people have been telling me for about a year to do it, and I'm all into doing things I say I'm going to do now, hurr I am... writing my life away.
Anywho, the real reason for the script I'm about to write is to tell you of my wonderful adventure around London two days ago with my buddy-boo Courtney Taylor.
It started off as a need to find gifts for people who are turning one year older (not one-year old, just a year older than they already are) and babies who have just been born. What a crock that was. We found absolutely shit for them. So it instead turned into a tourist day. FULL OF AMAZING DECISIONS!
Good Decision Numero Uno
First off, it was raining pretty badly and when I dug into the depths of my purse, an umbrella was nowhere to be found. So we duck into a little souveneir shop to have a looksie aroundsie. Then I saw it.. the basket filled with umbrellas and police helmets. That's when the lightbulb flashed on above my head (idea!). Why get an umbrella that I'm gonna have to hold when I could just use that police helmet?? Not to mention, it was 3 quid cheaper than the Jack Union umbrella being sold. Bye-bye wet hair! Decision 1: SUCCESS!
Good Decision Numero Deux
Bum Search. So I had this idea that it would be fun to have lunch with a homeless person. And courtney just so happened to have a beer floating around in her purse. So our plan was to find my homie homeless man and offer him some foody goodness along with a nice lukewarm beer (some English people really DO like warm beer.. weirdos). So there we were, just about to turn the corner to where my homeboy sleeps (oh, back up a little, I call him my homeboy like I know him because whenever I would walk past him and look lost he would help me with directions--he lives in the underpass at Hyde Park Corner tube station. So there we were, all giddy and excited, soaked from the rain--but it didn't matter cause Karma was about to owe us a big one... and of COURSE, he was not there! His bed was empty.. Which doesn't make decision number Two unsuccessful.. just incomplete.

Platform 9 3/4. Okay now, I am not a huge Harry Potter fan. Apparently Courtney is cause she kept mumbling quotes as we made our way into Kings Cross Station. Loser. After doing a short walk, with my head slighty ducked, to the sad excuse of a Platform 9 3/4 platform, we came to a line of people waiting to take pictures. Two funny things happened here. One: little Asian girl runs up to take a picture, excitement beaming from her face, and as soon as she places a hand on the handlebar, it breaks off. Her face was priceless. Two: An older, quite plump English man walks up to take his picture, all his bags with him, when his friend asks, ''Do you want me to hold your bags??'' He turns giving her a daft look and says, ''Well if I'm going to Hogwarts I'm gonna need my bags aren't I??'' hahah. Those two moments is what made Platform 9 3/4 uber successful!

Beer. What else can I say? Not much because I'm honestly bored of writing at the moment. We bought some during happy hour at a bar in Leicester Square. Bought some more and played drinking games with one of the coolest Kiwis evaaa- Hans Olo (really just Hans). Muy Successful.. especially since, once again, I lost the game of mushroom and seemed to get the drunkest. Wahooo!
That's it. Oh wait... what made the day 20% better than it already was is that we were in our super cool Wellies!! I totally stomped through puddles all day whilst everyone else had to walk around them. Ooo-oooOooo!!!
